Professional Biography
Dr Bahareh Eskandari is a Registered Psychologist with more than 12 years of experience in autism assessment, developmental psychology, and neurodevelopmental care. Across clinical, research, and multidisciplinary settings, she has supported autistic children, adolescents, adults, and their families through evidence-based assessment and collaborative clinical practice. Her professional interests include autism assessment, behavioural assessment, emotional regulation, behavioural challenges, developmental psychology, and the early recognition of neurodevelopmental differences.
Dr Bahareh earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology in Iran, where her doctoral research investigated the design and evaluation of an adapted behaviour management program for mothers of preschool children with autism. She also holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, with research focusing on sensory processing and sensory differences experienced by autistic children. Her academic background continues to shape her clinical approach by integrating contemporary research with practical assessment methods.
Alongside her clinical responsibilities, Dr Bahareh has contributed to several autism research projects and peer-reviewed scientific publications. A significant area of her research involved early autism screening through infant cry analysis, where she was responsible for identifying, interpreting, and explaining clinically relevant characteristics within infant crying patterns. Her expertise contributed to the development of the diagnostic model and analytical system used by the multidisciplinary engineering and research team. She has also participated in community-focused initiatives, including translating and authoring books and educational resources designed to support families and professionals working with neurodivergent children.
At Elyséa HEALTH, Dr Bahareh provides comprehensive autism assessments across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults. Her assessment process combines detailed developmental history, structured clinical interviews with individuals and families, direct behavioural observation, and the use of internationally recognised diagnostic measures such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2).
