Billings & Fees Policy
At Elyséa HEALTH, we are committed to delivering exceptional healthcare in an environment founded on professionalism, compassion, integrity and clinical excellence.
Every appointment is individually reserved with one of our highly qualified healthcare professionals, allowing dedicated time for comprehensive assessment, personalised treatment and continuity of care.
To help us continue providing timely, high-quality medical and mental health services, we ask all patients to familiarise themselves with our Billings & Fees Policy before booking an appointment.
By making or attending an appointment with Elyséa HEALTH, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted the terms outlined below.
Private Billing Practice
Elyséa HEALTH is an independent multidisciplinary healthcare practice providing both bulk-billed and privately billed services, depending on the type of consultation and applicable eligibility criteria.
Our practitioners determine their consultation fees in accordance with their qualifications, experience, appointment duration, complexity of care, and professional expertise.
Non-ADHD-related GP consultations are bulk billed for patients with a valid Medicare card. Patients without a Medicare card are charged privately. Psychiatry and psychology consultations are privately billed.
Consultation fees and payment requirements are outlined on our Fees page.
General Practice (GP) Consultations
Non-ADHD-related GP consultations are currently bulk billed for patients with a valid Medicare card. Patients without a valid Medicare card will be charged privately.
Additional fees may apply for procedures, medical examinations, travel medicine, vaccinations, consumables, reports, forms, insurance paperwork and other services not covered by standard consultation fees.
A $50 non-attendance fee applies if a patient does not attend a scheduled GP appointment. No non-attendance fee will apply if the appointment is rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
Psychiatry Consultations
This includes, but is not limited to:
Initial consultations
Review appointments
ADHD assessments
Autism Spectrum Disorder assessments
Other diagnostic assessments
Medication reviews
Second opinions
Specialist opinions
Capacity assessments
Medicolegal assessments
Comprehensive psychiatric reports
Where applicable, eligible patients may receive a Medicare rebate after payment has been processed.
A $200 deposit is required to secure a psychiatry appointment. The remaining consultation balance must be paid at least three (3) business days before the scheduled appointment.
Cancellations received more than three (3) business days before the scheduled appointment are eligible for a refund of the $200 deposit, less a $25 administration fee.
Cancellations received within three (3) business days of the scheduled appointment are non-refundable. The full consultation fee remains payable, as the reserved appointment time cannot generally be offered to another patient at short notice.
Psychology Consultations
All psychology consultations, assessments, therapy sessions, counselling appointments, psychological assessments, and reports are privately billed.
Patients who hold a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan or other eligible referral may receive Medicare rebates where applicable. Eligibility for Medicare rebates is determined by Medicare.
A $100 deposit is required to secure a psychology appointment. The remaining balance of $165 must be paid three (3) days before the scheduled appointment.
Cancellations received more than three (3) business days before the scheduled appointment are eligible for a refund of the $100 deposit, less a $25 administration fee.
Cancellations received within three (3) business days of the scheduled appointment are non-refundable. The full appointment cost remains payable, as the reserved appointment time cannot generally be offered to another patient at short notice.

Clinical services provided
Non-ADHD-related GP consultations are currently bulk billed for patients with a valid Medicare card. Patients without a valid Medicare card are charged privately. Psychiatry and psychology consultations are privately billed.

Fees are reviewed periodically and may change without prior notice.
Medicare Rebates
Eligible non-ADHD-related GP consultations are currently bulk-billed for patients with a valid Medicare card.
For privately billed psychiatry and psychology consultations, eligible patients may receive Medicare rebates where applicable, subject to Medicare requirements.

Not all appointments attract Medicare rebates.
Patients remain responsible for applicable private consultation fees regardless of rebate eligibility.

Patients are responsible for confirming their Medicare eligibility by contacting Medicare directly if required.

Appointment Confirmations
Appointment confirmations and reminders are generally sent by SMS and/or email.
Patients are responsible for ensuring their contact details remain accurate and up to date.
Failure to receive a reminder does not remove the patient’s responsibility to attend their scheduled appointment.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Our practitioners reserve dedicated appointment times exclusively for each patient.
When appointments are cancelled, especially at short notice, it is often not possible to offer that appointment to another patient requiring care.
Accordingly, the following policy applies.
Psychiatry appointments
Cancellations received more than three (3) business days before the scheduled appointment are eligible for a refund of the $200 deposit, less a $25 administration fee.
Cancellations received within three (3) business days of the scheduled appointment are non-refundable. The full consultation fee remains payable.

Cancellations received within three (3) business days of the scheduled appointment are non-refundable. The full appointment cost remains payable.
GP appointments

Cancellation and rescheduling requests
Cancellation or rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing via email.
The date and time (South Australian time) at which your request is received by Elyséa HEALTH will determine the applicable notice period and any relevant cancellation or administration fees.
For psychiatry and psychology appointments, the scheduled appointment date is not included when calculating the required three (3) business days’ notice period.
Late Arrival
Patients are encouraged to arrive several minutes before their scheduled appointment.
Patients arriving late will receive the remaining consultation time available, where clinically appropriate.
Patients arriving more than fifteen (15) minutes after the scheduled appointment time may be considered to have missed their appointment. Applicable charges will depend on the type of appointment and the relevant non-attendance policy.
Non-Attendance
Failure to attend a scheduled appointment may result in charges in accordance with the applicable appointment policy.
For GP appointments, a $50 non-attendance fee applies if the patient does not attend. No non-attendance fee applies if the appointment is rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
For psychiatry and psychology appointments, cancellations within three (3) business days of the scheduled appointment are non-refundable, and the full appointment cost remains payable.
This includes patients who:
Forget their appointment.
Choose not to attend.
Arrive more than fifteen (15) minutes late and are unable to be seen.
Leave before being seen.
Are otherwise unavailable at the scheduled appointment time.

Where clinically appropriate, telehealth consultations may be introduced for selected practitioners or services if applicable.
Where telehealth consultations are offered, this Billing & Fees Policy will continue to apply together with any additional telehealth requirements advised at the time of booking.
Reports, Letters & Administrative Services
Our practitioners routinely communicate with referring healthcare providers as part of ongoing patient care.
Additional requests outside routine clinical correspondence may attract separate professional or administration fees.
These include, but are not limited to:
- Additional reports
- Medical letters
- Insurance forms
- Employment forms
- Fitness for work documentation
- NDIS documentation
- Medical certificates outside consultations
- Copies or transfer of reports

Where applicable, patients will be advised of the fee before work commences.
Transfer of reports to practitioner/practice other than the original referring practitioner will generally incur a $40 administration fee together with completion of the required consent documentation.
Refund Policy
Consultation fees are reserved for practitioner time rather than clinical outcomes.
Accordingly, consultation fees will not be refunded once an appointment has commenced or has been attended, regardless of:
Diagnosis reached
Treatment recommendations
Medicare eligibility
Whether medication is prescribed
Referral outcome
Patient expectations
Duration of future treatment
For psychiatry and psychology appointments, cancellations received more than three (3) business days before the scheduled appointment are eligible for a refund of the applicable deposit, less a $25 administration fee. Cancellations received within three (3) business days are non-refundable, and the full appointment cost remains payable.
GP non-attendance fees are governed by the GP appointment policy.
Any other refund requests will be assessed individually by Elyséa HEALTH in accordance with applicable requirements.
Outstanding Accounts
Outstanding accounts must be paid in full.
Patients with unpaid accounts will not be offered further appointments until outstanding balances have been finalised unless otherwise approved by Elyséa HEALTH.
Where accounts remain unpaid, Elyséa HEALTH reserves the right to commence debt recovery proceedings.
Any reasonable legal, administrative or debt recovery costs incurred, to the extent permitted by law, will be added to the outstanding balance.
