Dr Bahareh Eskandari is a registered psychologist with over 12 years of experience working with individuals with autism and their families across clinical, research, and multidisciplinary settings. Her professional expertise is strongly focused on autism assessment, developmental psychology, behavioural assessment, early identification of neurodevelopmental conditions, emotional regulation difficulties, and behavioural challenges. She also has extensive experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary clinical teams, including psychologists, psychiatrists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, behavioural practitioners, and families, to support comprehensive assessment and intervention planning.

Dr Eskandari holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Iran, where her doctoral research focused on designing and evaluating an adapted behaviour management program for mothers of preschool children with autism. Alongside her clinical work, Dr Eskandari has contributed to several research projects and scientific publications in the field of autism and early intervention. One of her notable research contributions involved a study on early autism screening through infant cry features. In this project, she played a key clinical and scientific role by identifying, explaining, and interpreting the characteristics identified in the crying patterns of autistic children. Her input helped the engineering and research team develop the diagnostic system and analytical model used in the study. She has also contributed to community-focused projects, including translation and authorship of autism-related books and resources designed to support families and professionals working with neurodivergent children.

At Elyséa HEALTH, Dr Bahareh Eskandari will be responsible for conducting “Autism Assessments” across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults. Her assessment approach involves structured clinical interviews with individuals and their families, direct behavioural observations, and the use of standardized diagnostic tools such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2). Dr Eskandari is committed to providing comprehensive, evidence-based, and person-centred assessments that support accurate diagnosis and individualized recommendations for ongoing care and intervention. She values collaborative practice, clinical integrity, and a compassionate approach that recognises the unique strengths, needs, and developmental profiles of each individual and family.
